Emma joined Girl Effect in 2015, moving to Rwanda to head up the Ni Nyampinga youth brand. Emma subsequently became Rwanda’s Country Director and, today, she is the Director of Malawi and Rwanda. She specializes in youth brands and joined the team with more than fifteen years of experience in this area.

Emma began her career in radio for Emap and was part of the team that re-launched the Kiss network in 2006. From there, she started and ran a youth and experiential marketing agency in London for several years before joining MTV in 2010, leading the marketing department for MTV UK and Ireland and launching multiple successful television shows. In 2011, she transitioned to a role at BBC creating brand strategies for BBC Radio 5 live and BBC Sport and marketing campaigns for events including the Winter Olympics, Paralympics and Wimbledon. Most recently before joining Girl Effect she worked for Sky as a Marketing Controller within their Entertainment division.
