Ian Burrell interviews Farah Ramzan Golant for the i newspaper

The i newspaper has run a profile of our CEO, Farah Ramzan Golant, both in print and online, entitled ‘Let’s hear it from the girls… the media brands giving young women a voice’.

The newspaper’s media correspondent, Ian Burrell, writes its Media blog every Monday and is also a regular contributor to leading marketing and advertising website the Drum.

Farah is described as “one of the most successful women in UK media”, and the piece highlights her previous work and leadership at AMV BBDO and All3Media. 

The interview explores Farah’s year at Girl Effect, championing some of the key successes we’ve had with our girl-led culture brands, Yegna and Ni Nyampinga. It goes on to outline how media brands can be the catalysts for change and how Girl Effect places girls at the heart of our brands to “shift perceptions of girls and their value”. The piece then explores how Girl Effect is scaling up into other territories, with reference to our TEGA work in Nigeria.
