Girl Effect uses Invisible Barriers film to launch new position at Aspen
Farah joined the “Girls Unleashed” panel at Aspen Ideas Festival last night, as part of our ongoing work to reposition ourselves and announce our new mission to a new audience.
Aspen Ideas Festival is a yearly event hosted by the Aspen institute, a think-tank for private and public sector thought leaders.
Farah presented our ‘Invisible Barriers’ animated film and talked about how we work with mass culture brands to cultivate a ‘new normal’ for girls, where they are fully visible and vocal participants in their societies.
She also presented the digital campaign we created supporting the film, that lives on our website, social channels and partner media channels.
The film was launched online through Vice Impact and hosted on the Festival blog alongside a fantastic thought piece by Farah.
Our short animation dramatising the cultural and social norms that holds so many girls back.
