Improving the quality of care
The Global Maternal Health Conference (GMHC2013) is a gathering
of maternal health experts, scientists, researchers and
policymakers.
Sponsored by the Gates Foundation, Unicef, UNFPA and the MacArthur
Foundation, the 2013 conference brings together organisations and
individuals committed to maternal health and the improvement of
maternal health services.
The main focus will be on progress made towards achieving the
Millennium Development Goals, with issues such as access to care
and maternal mortality rates in developing countries on the
agenda.
The three-day GMHC2013 takes place in Arusha, Tanzania on 15-17
January, with the theme 'Improving Quality of Care'.
