While pastoralist communities get a lot of attention from development and academic circles, little is known about the role adolescent girls play in these tribes. Until now. Turkana, Kenya presents a harsh environment, prone to drought. This report examines daily life for these girls, and the challenges they face around education and early marriage, as well as girls' role in community resilience during times of extreme weather.
