Strategic document for understanding adolescent girls' social exclusion and vulnerability in Ethiopia.
The Every Last Girl Strategy is a piece of contextualised social exclusion analysis on adolescent girls aged 10-19 in Ethiopia.
It is a guiding strategy for Girl Hub Ethiopia that provides a conceptual framework for understanding the nature of vulnerability among girls.
The strategy focuses on identifying which girls in Ethiopia are at greatest risk of being vulnerable and excluded and why and how Girl Hub Ethiopia will seek to reach them with different types of interventions.
The framework recognises that adolescent girls in Ethiopia are a heterogeneous group, and that poverty is not the only driver of vulnerability and exclusion.
Other driving factors include but are not limited to: exposure to gender-based violence; employment as a domestic worker; being out of school; forced early marriage; living with disability; and social isolation.
