This handbook empowers everyday citizens to become advocates for greater investment in Nigerian girls.
This vibrant and engaging handbook aims to accomplish two things: introduce the northern Nigerian (Arewa) girl and provide practical advice on how everyday citizens can help to improve girls' lives in northern Nigeria.
Whilst it is relatively easy to learn about what is happening to adolescent girls, where this handbook differs is that it offers the 'why' behind the data, and the 'how' to address girls' challenges from multiple vantage points."
It was created by talking to 1,500 girls and 3,000 adults over a two-year period, and contains unique insights about northern Nigerian girls' perceptions of family, friends, media, education, employment and marriage.
