From Isolation to Influence: Why Girls Need Connections
The research in this infographic focuses on Kwazulu-Natal, a province in eastern South Africa. The Siyakha Nentsha project was set up there by the Population Council to reach the most vulnerable girls who cannot normally access sports and community groups. Results show that enabling girls to have safe spaces to build health, financial and social skills reduces the risk of HIV infection.
